Localities:  DESMOND is currently being delivered throughout the whole of South London under the Diabetes Book and Learn service.

DESMOND Newly Diagnosed module available (for patients up to 12 months post diagnosis)

DESMOND Foundation module available (for those with established diabetes)

Overview

The DESMOND service is a part of the Merton Diabetes service which is a specialist community team.

The feedback we get from people attending our DESMOND courses is extremely positive. “The whole course was fantastic and very useful.” 

The staff running our courses are very experienced diabetes specialist nurses and dietitians.  We also involve specially trained local people who are extremely knowledgeable and very supportive.

We have a variety of course locations across the Merton Borough which are all easy to get to by public transportation and parking. More recently, we now offer virtual courses were you can receive the same quality education from the comfort of your own home.
